Introduction


The Budapest Map is divided into 23 districts, each with its own landmarks, character, and atmosphere. Knowing which district you’re in helps you save time and plan smarter. This quick guide lists 4–5 main attractions for each district so you can orient yourself on the map. If you’re at the Castle, you’ll know you’re in District I — and from there you can decide whether to keep exploring nearby or head across the river.

Buda Side (Districts I–III, XI–XII, XXII)
